In 2004 JoJo rose to fame with her hit debut the album JoJo. Her Platinum-certified debut single "Leave (Get Out)" was also released in 2004, it hit the no.2 spot in the UK charts and no.12 in the US charts. JoJo became the youngset nominee for best new artist at the MTV Video Music Awards.

She has since released another album called The High Road in 2006, ans has stated she will be touring in 2007.
